Description
This half-day course offers an introduction to TMS Barcode Manager, a productivity enhancing add-on that integrates the convenience of barcode scanning into your location and inventory workflows in TMS. Learn how to scan, track, and update object and component data easily with Barcode Manager.
Audience
The TMS Barcode Manager workshop is ideal for TMS for Windows users planning to use the Barcode Manager plugin product with barcode scanners. This can include:
Registrars,
Collection Managers,
TMS database administrators,
And all users who manage location, tracking, and movement activities within TMS.
Prerequisites
This course assumes the user is already familiar with basic TMS functionality, either through daily use of TMS or by having completed the three-day TMS Core training.
Course Objectives
Provide users with an understanding of how to scan, import, and report on barcode related data in TMS using TMS Barcode Manager and the barcode reader of their choice.

The online version of this workshop has been designed with a hands-on approach. For an optimal learning experience, we strongly recommend the following setup:
A strong internet connection
1 monitor for viewing the training [a computer or a large tablet]
1 computer monitor for working in your TMS database
A hands-free phone or a headset
Ability to use remote desktop (MAC users will need app from Mac App Store)
